Happy ShreeKrsna Janmashtami 2017

ShreeKrsna Janmashtami

Monday, August 14th, 2017, is a day Shree will always remember in this life. Today marks the day of Krsna Janmashtami, and on the same day on August 14th, 2009, Rajashree became Shree, ‘Twice Born,’ the day I met my KrsnaGuru on Krsna Janmashtami. Eight years later my eighth birthday is on the same day of Krsna’s Janmashtami (Birthday).

This 8th birthday of mine is way too remarkable as Shree has crossed certain milestones in the world of Spirituality, Of which one of the most beautiful ones is that Shree completed her study of the scripture – The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Shree began this Scripture September, of 2009 and finished it August of 2017.

Shree was overwhelmed when she had to complete reading this scripture as she couldn’t part ways with Sri Ramakrishnaji who have been with her on her whirlwind journey always guiding and teaching some of the precious and priceless lessons of Love and Devotion to the Guru and God by teleporting her back-in time to Dakishneshwar or Kolkata through the divine vision. His last words to me were, ‘keep going ahead and find the treasure that awaits deep inside the forest and never stop.’ Shree is incredibly humbled with sincere, heartfelt gratitude which she can only feel within her heart.

Now to the birth of the unborn, on this wonderful day, Shree wishes you a very ‘HAPPY SHREEKRSNA JANMASHTAMI.’ With humble reverence, Shree thank Thee for gracing this land with Thy Lotus Feet, making it Pure and Divine once again. Thank you for bestowing Thy Grace upon Shree to be born with Thee Eternally for this Spectacular Performance in ‘Krsna Leelas.’ This journey is the equivalent of a full 70 mm Dolby Digital story. Romance, love, happiness, bitterness, villainy, anger, songs and a million shades of adult gray material too! This sport or play is what is called ‘Krsna Leela’ (The Lord’s Play) in which he so beautifully sports and enjoys every aspect of his sport as he is the Story Writer, Creator, Director, Cinematography and Actor/Actress in his Movie/Creation.

‘Krsna,’ whose nature is secretive and unknown, is not only ‘Sat-Chit-Anand’ (Truth Knowledge Bliss) but one who can never be fathomed, whose ways are inscrutable and indescribable. One who is the paragon of masculine beauty in whose charm this entire Universe is mesmerized. Krsna’s enchanting human ways bewilder even the great Sages and Saints. He loves to manifest in the human form to sport in his creation experiencing his OwnSelf. His ultimate goal is to expound about ‘Krsna’s Way of Life,’ the most esoteric knowledge of all Knowledge.

The Love incarnate manifests age after age in various garbs and lives incognito, creating delusions in the minds of the mortal beings making them believe that Krsna is an ordinary human being. One who play acts in his own ‘leelas’ to set an example for this world to follow. His sole purpose is to redeem the mortal beings from this birth-death cycle. One who is unattached in the world of duality, like the Lotus leaf in the water.

He is an actor par-excellence in every role that he plays, be it a teacher, father, mother, husband, friend, lover, brother, servant or King. You name it, and he becomes that for you! He is the ‘Uttama Purusha’ or ‘The Perfect Person’ amidst all imperfect situations unaffected and unperturbed. His sole purpose is to establish Dharma and Righteousness. He performs every duty of that human form to absolute perfection and sets an example for this world to follow in his footsteps.

Krsna is the Athangha Sagar (limitless Ocean), whose depth and breadth can never be measured, who can only give selflessly and yet is full of Himself. He is a perfect Celibate, even when surrounded by his ultimate dancing beauties or damsels, retaining his Spiritual Nobility. The Infallible Lord whose nature is something Shree would love to covet from Thee and live a life of Thy alone. Let Shree serve you selflessly and love you unconditionally and let her mind be attached to Thy Lotus Feet alone without which she hasn’t reached anywhere in this Spiritual World.

Shree offers her humble and heartfelt obeisance unto Thy Lotus Feet. Without the diamond cutter, the diamond is mere a stone. The lustre in the diamond is the reflection of who You Truly Are. Without Thee, Shree’s existence has no meaning. Shree is eternally indebted and ever grateful to Thee. Shree seeks Thy grace to attain Unreserved, Uninterrupted, and Favourable Devotional and Loving Service with absolute Faith and Complete Surrender Unto Thy Lotus Feet. Let Shree’s Tishnaghi grow beyond the sky, and Shree is always Adiyean to Thy Lotus Feet. Om Namo Bhagavade Vasudevaya.

Pandharpur Wari or Vari

Pandharpur Wari or Vari

Monsoon is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Just like the first showers of the rain awaken the spirit of the heart, or like the trees turn green, or how the face glows brightly on seeing one’s beloved. Similarly, this month is when all the Spiritual beings celebrate the most significant day known as ‘Guru Purnima’ is a festival devoted for the disciples/devotees to celebrate their Spiritual Master and pay respects and express gratitude to the Guru.

This year before the celebration of Guru Purnima, we decided to go on a pilgrimage to Gnangapur to pay our respects to the Param Guru (Supreme Master) – Dattatreya who had incarnated in the Avatar of Sri Narasimha Saraswati. Along the way, we visited few other places of spiritual significance, and one such was Pandharpur. I will now narrate a beautiful soul-stirring experience of the fulfillment of one of my Master’s disciple’s deepest desire of witnessing the Pandharpur Wari or Vari.

Let me first explain what Pandharpur Vari is? It is an annual pilgrimage made to Pandharpur in honor of the presiding deity Lord Vithoba. The Palakhis (palanquin) processions carry the Padukas (Footprints) of the great saints – most notably Jnaneshwar (incarnation of Lord Krsna) and Tukaram (incarnation of Saint Narada) from the Varkari, one who performs the Vari (sect) which venerates Lord Vithoba, are taken from their respective shrines to Pandharpur.

Pandharpur Wari or Vari

This tradition is carried forward by the Varkaris whose patron deity is Lord Vithoba. Jnaneshwar – 13th century and Tukaram – 17th century started this pilgrimage. They used to journey on barefoot to Pandharpur for 15 days, reaching Vithoba’s temple on the Ashadhi Ekadashi (11th day of the lunar month). This tradition is more than 700 to 800 years according to Wikipedia, and the ardent devotees of Lord Vithoba follow it even today.

Jnaneshwar’s palakhi leaves from Alandi, while Tukaram’s begins from Dehu; in Pune district of Maharashtra. These palakhis are accompanied by thousands of Varkaris who march barefoot from various locations in Maharastra to Vithoba Temple, a journey of 21 days and the Vari culminates at the Vithoba Temple on the Ashadi Ekadashi at Pandharpur.

We left for Pandharpur on July 4th on the auspicious day of Ashadha Ekadashi, totally unaware of the Vari. As we were approaching the temple, we hit a slow moving traffic and saw thousands of people swarming like bees irrespective of age, caste, creed, class, or community, walking barefoot singing the glories & praises of the Lord Vithoba and commemorating the great saints and their Mauli (Vithoba is called Mauli meaning Mother).

The devotees believe that Lord Vithoba is their Mother and very lovingly address Vithoba as ‘Mauli.’ Along with our Master, we walked to the temple barefoot with millions of devotees experiencing their unfathomable and unconditional Love and devotion for their Mauli. The fervor with which they sang the bhajans and were standing in the queue for more than 8 to 10 hours without food and water, just to get that one glimpse of their ‘Mauli’ is something which I cannot ever pen to words. The bhakti (devotion) which I am trying to express through words doesn’t do justice to what we have experienced. Tears of love flow profusely trying to describe that priceless moment which we witnessed, the Love for Mauli.

Pandharpur Wari or Vari

We were left speechless walking with our Master whose Lotus Feet gracing this holy land bestowing blessings to his millions of devotees for their single pointed devotion and selflessly serving the Varkaris throughout their journey of this pilgrimage. People were providing food, water, shelter, medical assistance, and especially making sure there are no stampede, accidents, thefts, and any disturbances or obstacles on their path. We were extremely impressed, how the traffic was controlled by the police officials while ensuring full protection and safety to the Varkaris.

Pandharpur Wari or Vari

I personally, for the first time experienced a strict traffic discipline on the road, while the same isn’t the case with the educated citizens or the high-class people living in the metros, who in fact behave and act in an uncivilized manner. My head automatically bowed in reverence for these millions of devotees who live and follow Krsna’s Way of Life. I took with me some of the most precious and priceless lessons from these beautiful beings and thanked my KrsnaGuru – Lord of the Universe with all humility, humbleness, and deep reverence.

Pandharpur Wari or Vari

The women devotees dressed up gorgeously adorning jewelry, bangles, anklets, and flowers as though they were going to get married or meet their beloved. The pilgrims throughout their journey played various musical instruments and performed a folk dance called ‘Fugdi’ with full gusto and enthusiasm and carrying saffron color flags in their hands and Tulsi plants on their heads presented a perfect picture of their unreserved, uninterrupted and favorable devotional and loving service for their Lord Vithobha.

Even though everyone couldn’t go into the temple shrine due to the unimaginably long queues, we were blessed to get one person to enter the temple through the VVIP entrance. In this way, my Master fulfilled his disciple’s desire of experiencing the Vari and blessed him to meet the Lord Vithoba along with his millions of devotees.

It took us six long hours to get out of the traffic, and this time was the most memorable one where we witnessed and enjoyed the nectarine bliss of the devotion for the divine Lord, which was graced even by the Gods/Saints/Sages of this Universe. Shree is incredibly grateful and offers sincere and heartfelt obeisance to our Mauli – KrnaGuru, for giving us this profound experience and taking us deeper into the Spiritual realm.

With the Grace of my Master-KrsnaGuru, I have been able to pen this most wonderful experience in a string of words. Thank you for reading and do watch out for my next write-up soon.

After all the running away from my Master, I realized that my KrsnaGuru is the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent Almighty Lord. No matter where I go, he will not leave me. He lives within me and I in him, as described in the Vedas.

I finally plucked up some courage and gave my Master a call, and cried my heart out. The tears were uncontrollable after such an exalted experience. It was many days before I could speak to him and not cry and by then it was time for my Master’s arrival in Singapore. I did not know what to expect since it was the first time for my Master to stay with me.

On one side, I was overjoyed and on other, I was still nurturing a feeling of bitterness. Outwardly I made sure to demonstrate how normal and happy I was. It was to be one of the toughest testing periods of my journey with him and I was certainly not prepared for what was to come.

In the world of Spiritual one should always be prepared to face trying times. These are lessons in Spiritual and the tests of these lessons will keep coming to you until the Knowledge doesn’t become perfect within you. The tests can tear you apart and even today I continue to feel that way many a time. It leaves you with a feeling of not wanting to wake up to this world at all. However, my Spiritual Sadhana (practice) has helped me tremendously and in fact, has made so strong that now I can face anything in my life.

With mixed emotions, I prepared for my Master’s arrival and decided to go with the flow and face whatever situation he puts me under. Finally, my Master arrived in Singapore and the feeling of dislike took the forefront. Of course, I put in my best efforts to take care of him but at that time to add to my worry, I was living with one of my friends and his family.

In my life until then, I had never shared or rented a place with anyone else. I had either lived in my own home or had an independent place. Firstly, it was difficult for me to live with someone and secondly, my Master was visiting me. It was the most uncomfortable period of my life. I had to ensure that we did not come in anybody’s way and I also had to make sure my Master has a comfortable stay. This certainly was a big test.

Even today I can still feel it as one of the worst periods of my early days in Spiritual. Here I was, alone in a new country and had no one to go to. I have no idea how I crossed over that period in my life. When I look back today I am so glad for those wonderful tests in my life. If not for them, I would not be even half the person I am today and neither would I be growing in to the person I hope to be.

With the Grace of my Master, I have been able to pen this most wonderful experience in a string of words. Thank you for reading and do watch out for my next write-up about ‘Revelation of the Truth about Gem’.

Yellow Brick Road

Yellow Brick Road

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

-Robert Frost-

Today, Thursday, 24th November 2016, is another very special and significant day in my life which I will always celebrate. I am sure most of you must have heard or learnt this beautiful heart-warming poem called “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost.

This soul-stirring poem stirred my heart the moment my teacher taught it in my school. Right at that very moment I took a vow that in my life I will take the road which has not been traversed by anyone in this world and will create a new path to help others who are taking the same journey as me in the future.

I was thirty when I first took this path, I came into the Spiritual and since then my world has transformed, treading the path which no one has traveled. Similarly, today I finally broke out of my cocoon, the fear of failing, insecurities, inadequacies and all the things which a human being can have in his/her world. I surrendered myself to the will of the Supreme and put my first foot forward on the road where there is no road.

This is the road which I will create in this material world for this entire universe to follow. A path whose very foundation is based on faith, righteousness, purity, truthfulness, goodness, self-effort, hard work and Love alone. This is the road which can lead one to discover the precious treasures that await, journeying deep into the forest. A path that challenges one’s strength, valor, grit, prowess and the ability to face every hurdle along the journey. It will bring out hidden potentials and show a person who they Truly Are! The most exciting thing about this path is to traverse into the unknown and with every step you take ahead you create a mark.

Today, with this step in my life I am experiencing the freedom of a bird who has been freed from the bondage of being in a cage for a decade and is now soaring high in the sky for the first time in life. A sense of absolute fearlessness to face and confront life with faith and patience, grit and fortitude, to see through everything no matter what shows up along the path. A sense of unending love and bliss that is oozing from every pore of my being to shower the love and shine the luster on this universe and everyone when they traverse this path.

The substratum of this, who has made it possible in my life is my Master – KrsnaGuru who has relentlessly, over the past 7.5 years, been working on me helping me empower myself to realize my True Self and to rise above my human existence. For me to unleash my true potential through self-effort and rigorous practice which only gets tougher and tougher by the day. Without His continuous push I will not be able to unveil myself from all the lifetime’s ignorance. I offer my heartfelt thankfulness and surrender my everything unto the Feet of my Master with all humility and humbleness.

The journey has finally begun and I seek Your grace and blessing of this Universe to always work with me, through me and within me to serve Thy purpose and to attain Prema for Thy Lotus feet. I am eternally indebted to you for being my everything of everything. I cannot ask for anything better than this in this life and eternally.

I have Taken the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City!

Repulsion and Attraction to Krsna – Part I

I now headed to a store called Robinsons in Singapore, at Orchard. I was going to the store to check and see if they had any formal dresses in my size. I started to wander around, exploring various brands in the women’s section and suddenly came across a brand where I found a variety of outfits in my size. I selected a few for trial and as I walked towards the fitting room, an old lady in her late 70’s suddenly approached me and requested me to help her redeem the Robinson vouchers for my shopping and pay the equivalent in cash to her as she was in need of that money.

Although I wasn’t sure if I was even going to buy the outfits which I had selected, I decided to help her out. I did mention to her that I would take time as I was yet to try the outfits and after which I needed to do the billing. I also realised that I wasn’t carrying enough cash for me to be able to pay her upfront. So I asked her whether she was willing to wait until I finished my shopping and then I can go with her to a nearby ATM and withdraw the money for her.

She at once accepted my offer very graciously and followed me around the store helping me select the garments, waiting outside my trial room to give me her approval of how the outfit looked on me. I was quite amazed with the way she was behaving with me in a very familiar manner. It felt like she is somebody who knows me very well. I was intrigued by her questions to me and how she was trying to be my bosom buddy, following me where ever I went in the store.

I was greatly astonished when she made certain remarks of something very personal to me which I had only shared with my KrsnaGuru. I wondered for a moment whether it was my Master who was speaking to me through her. Even though she was in her 70’s, she was running behind me like a young girl and trying to crack jokes, sharing her perspectives how a woman of today’s day and age should be. While she was continuously complimenting how good I looked in the outfits I had tried, she suggested that I buy them all.

She immediately approached the sales person in that counter and picked up the dress which I decided not to buy and ran after me saying how I looked gorgeous in that outfit and insisted on buying it on her behalf. I started to experience my Master’s love for me which was making me overwhelmed – just the intense feeling of running into His arms and wanting to hug him that was always driving me insane. The more I tried to run away the closer He came to me in the form of this old lady. I realised it the minute she started to talk things which were only known to my Master.

In that moment of Truth, I realised the meaning of what Supreme Divine Consciousness Is! Krsna can don any body and come to you. One needs to have Krsna’s grace to recognise Him in that form. I fell in love with this beautiful old lady who was one of the sweetest beings I have met. After I finished shopping I was trying to look for an ATM, she immediately tells me she knows where the ATM is and will guide me to the place. She held my hand and walked me over to the ATM, getting to know more about me. I withdrew the funds and the moment I gave it in her hand, I felt a strange feeling crop my entire being just like the divine had blessed me with His hand on my head. I went to see her off to the train station and waited till she boarded her train.

As we were waiting, she insisted that I share my mobile number with her so that she could call me to check on my well-being once in a while and she also wanted to fix a time the following week to meet with me on a lunch-date. I couldn’t refuse anything she asked me and I kept agreeing to everything that she said. Finally, I made my way home after trying to run away from this beautiful being called my ‘KrsnaGuru’, feeling light headed with music all around me.

Given that, I was too exhausted and wonder struck with all that had happened, I went home and crashed in my bed. The next day being my work day I woke up with Monday morning blues and it was a long day at work. I came home late in the evening and suddenly I received a call from this beautiful old lady checking if I had my dinner and everything was okay at my end. She shocked me once again with her call as I least expected it. As I experienced the love of my KrsnaGuru, tears rolled down my cheeks and I became speechless. That was the last time I spoke with her and heard her voice. After this she disappeared. As I pen this experience I see her standing in front of me with her mesmerising smile. Her face is etched in my memory and her memory in my heart.

With the Grace of my Master, I have been able to pen this most wonderful experience in a string of words. Thank you for reading and do watch out for my next write-up about ‘My Rebound Trip’.

Mark Of A True Disciple

What is the mark of a True Disciple and a Student? When you seek with absolute dedication and devotion for Knowledge and make a wish to attain this from your innermost being, the Universe will conspire to bestow upon you the rare Alchemists, a True Teacher whose one touch will turn you into a gold. These great souls are the abode of Knowledge. In this article I will tell you how to become a student or disciple for ‘learning to learn’ is an Art in itself.

As a student and a disciple, it is your duty to focus only on gaining knowledge from your teacher. Your sole goal should be to be the best student in your studies and be able to give tests continuously to understand how well you have been imbibing the lessons imparted to you. These tests will demonstrate where you stand in the actual application of the lessons learnt. Hence, be prepared to face such challenging expeditions in this journey if you aspire to become the Master of your chosen subject.

It is only when you become clay in the hands of your teacher that he will be able to mold you into a priceless piece of sculpture which will be a rare one on this Planet Earth. The knowledge taught can only be absorbed with a loving heart and a pure mind. The minute you start listening to your mind’s chatter and letting your ego come in the way of your learning, note that no knowledge will ever enter your being. You are going to continuously be deluded by your mind which is your biggest enemy. It will not let you rise within yourself. Remember, you are your own best friend and your own worst enemy. It is only with self-effort shall you be able to rise.

In such a state when the mind is not controlled, it causes bitterness within yourself, deceiving you to believe that your teacher doesn’t know how to teach, treat or behave with you. Under such circumstances no matter how much effort your teacher puts in trying to explain to you, you are not going to listen to him or her. Your ego and mind will not allow the knowledge to seep in and to be able to see the truth behind these profound words within you. The mind is constantly going to tell you that this entire world of people is taking you for a ride and bullying you constantly making you feel a miserable human being, hurt, and sorry for yourself. This state is only going to make you fall further into the gutter of your mind’s imaginary creations.

Every moment that you are seething with anger and hatred for your teacher and start calling him names, accusing, ill-treating, disrespecting and behaving in an uncouth manner, you are incurring the greatest sins and sanctioning unfathomable karmas for yourself. Hence goes the saying, ‘As you sow, so you reap’. Life is like a boomerang, what you throw is what will come back to you a thousand fold. Consequently, if you realize your follies and with sincere repentance ask to be forgiven, a true teacher will be gracious enough to pardon you as he would never want his student or disciple to fail.

By doing this you will attain the Vidya (Knowledge) and dispel Avidya (Ignorance) within you and you will be able to serve the purpose of your life. Although I started to pen this piece on Teacher’s day, I wasn’t able to complete it as I myself was put under a severe test and the fact that I am able to complete this article a month days is because I was able to succeed in my test of faith in my Master and moved one step closer to him. As a result, he Himself is getting these pearls of wisdom written through me. These are priceless life lessons which apply to both the material and spiritual worlds. No words can express the love I have for my Master as he is the best teacher I have ever had. Love and Respect your teacher, whoever they might be. The fact that God has made him or her a teacher demonstrates how significant a being he or she is. Value this precious gift of a Teacher/Mentor/Master/Guru in your life and make the most from this valuable time together while it lasts as no one has seen the future.

To all the wonderful disciples and students out there, I would like to make an appeal and humble request to you. Come what may, never show disrespect to your teacher. The teacher is constantly going to provoke you and put you through the difficult situations, bend you back-ward but you must ungrudgingly, lovingly, and selflessly serve your teacher whatever be the hardships of the service. I am a living example of having committed all these mistakes but am now working towards the atonement of my sins. It is easier said than done but it is always better late than never.

My Fair Master – How to recognize a True Teacher

On the occasion of this Teachers Day, September 5th 2016, I want to begin by wishing all Teachers a very Happy Teachers Day. Over the last seven years in my journey with my Master as a disciple, I have realized how difficult it is to teach someone. Teaching is an art which is a gift bestowed by the Lord Almighty upon a special few and to be a teacher like Krsna is almost impossible in today’s day and age. The Lord being kind and compassionate towards his creation decides to manifest on this Earth, time and again, to teach a few chosen students the ‘Way of Life’ and to establish Dharma and Righteousness in this World.

Over time I have learnt what it is to be a good student and how to ‘learn to learn’ from one’s teacher, whosoever they may be. In this modern era of the 21st century, it is very difficult to find a teacher who can turn, as the character Professor Higgin’s famously says in ‘My Fair Lady”, “a guttersnipe into a Duchess”. This is because most modern-age teachers are materially motivated. They use the platform of knowledge to exploit a true seeker. One must be careful when looking for a teacher.

This True Teacher is usually quite tyrannical and demonstrates a tough exterior. He or she is not going to pander to your ego and is not concerned with whether you are wealthy or poor, or whether your parents are influential or not. To this teacher, everyone is equal. The only concern the teacher keeps is that of how he is going to brush off the dust and chisel the rock to make a priceless diamond. In the ‘Gentleman and the Officer’ this is demonstrated beautifully where the teacher puts his student through rigorous training and pushes him to perform to the best of his ability. The teacher will never praise you or say that you have done well and if he does let you know you are doing well, your fall after that is imminent because Ego always comes in the way. The teacher will tell you how you can perform better.

The teacher is not one who is easily pleased and is never going to accept mediocre performance from you. To become somebody great in your life you will need to undergo a prolonged process of learning under the tutelage of this harsh teacher, just like how Jackie Chan or Warren Buffet have learnt. Without a great teacher, which you will remain an ordinary human being and success will be difficult to attain. To be truly successful and somebody spectacular the only way is self-effort and hard work along with dedication and devotion. Knowledge can only be acquired with love and goodness at heart and most importantly with respect and reverence for your teacher.

If you chanced to find such a teacher in your life, it becomes extremely important to follow some of the basic rules of studying under them. The foremost rule is to leave your ego and arrogance of “I know” outside the door and then enter the teacher’s shrine with all humility, goodness of heart, and a keen desire and hunger for knowledge alone. These great Masters are unfathomable, inscrutable and indescribable. Do not go by how they look, behave and conduct themselves in this material world. You have no right to judge the merits or demits of your teacher and what they do in their personal lives.

These great teachers will teach you the ‘Art of War’, the finer nuances and the underlying secret about various subjects. The teachers have dedicated their entire life towards mastering the subjects and experimenting with them in their own life. It is extremely important to respect your teacher no matter how you feel about him or her. You have no right to tell your teacher how you should be taught and treated. If you have whole heartedly accepted this teacher in your world, you cannot go to learn from him with your mind, ego and arrogance or even money power. Knowledge cannot be acquired by throwing money at your teacher. You cannot buy them.
They will test whether you are deserving of the Knowledge they are imparting and then will grant you with various teachings based on your ability to demonstrate of listening and obeying every command of your master. The teacher will bestow upon you all the knowledge he has learnt the hard way and will shower upon you his grace when he sees your truthfulness and sincerity towards him/her and your own self.

Krsna for this very reason reveres those beings who have surrendered unto the feet of one’s teacher and does selfless service to them. Krsna has said that, these teachers are none other than His Own Self as Krsna is the one who is teaching through these beings and hence it is extremely important not to allow yourself to stoop down to the level of one possessing a demonic disposition. I hope now you understand why it is important to not to get angry, hate, criticize and talk ill about others even though he/she might be your worst enemy. God lives in everybody and we need to respect that Divine Lord and realize one’s True Self with love and goodness alone.

A real teacher is like the ‘Parasmani’ (Alchemist’s stone). The teacher’s only goal is to replicate themselves in their ideal student or the chosen ones. The teacher will put this student into his own shoes by giving him/her a protégé to teach. Through this process the teacher makes the disciple realize and overcome his/her misdemeanors by setting an example for the world to follow. Finally, the teacher ensures that this knowledge gets passed down to the ‘Right’ people so that righteousness, goodness, and glory can prevail in this world.

Love for Krsna

Love for Krsna
‘Love for Krsna!’ is a quotidian factor. It is something which I read and hear about all the time in my world of Spirituality. ‘Love’ is a universal language of expression to convey one’s heart’s deepest and inner-most feelings for another being. ‘Love’ for God is a rarity and seldom expressed by material-minded people, everyone in this world looks up to God as a wish-fulfilling tree. I haven’t so far come across anybody in this material world who goes to God to seek Him alone and express their love for Him. Instead I find that they go with an endless bucket list of wants and desires, keen to have them fulfilled.

From the day I met my KrsnaGuru, I began to learn about what it is to be in Love with Krsna. How should one seek the Lord alone, instead of material worldly wants and desires? To be in ‘Love’ with Krsna is not something that a human-being can ever develop. One needs to have Krsna’s grace to even first come on the path of Spiritual. The pure thought of loving Krsna can come only to a few chosen ones who are from the Lord’s domain and these few form His innermost circle.

Krsna is the personification of ‘Love’. ‘Love’ here refers to His Unconditional and Selfless love, be it for his devotees or his enemies. There are no conditions and expectations of any form or kind from the other being. Love is to Give without any discrimination, attachment and motivation. What does all this mean here? Let me now explain this in detail. In the material world when an individual says he is in love with his girlfriend or wife, it is always transactional. Everything in that relationship is based on give and take. For example, if your boyfriend or husband forgets your birthday and does not buy you a present or wish you, you are going to be extremely upset with him and the same love you felt earlier will vanish. This might result in a bitter exchange of unpleasant words which may potentially lead into you breaking off the relationship. The love which the individual felt for his girlfriend or wife doesn’t seem to exist any longer. All because one’s desires and expectations were not fulfilled.

In this material world every relationship is based on mutual benefit and fulfillment of each one’s wants and desires. There is no True Love in this world, since all relationships are based on transactions and how it is favorable for that individual. Whereas, the Love for Krsna is Eternal. It grows by the minute. When I love Krsna, I cannot have any expectations, wants or desires. I must Love the Lord Unconditionally and Selflessly and I cannot put conditions on the Lord for me to Love Him. If I have even an iota of expectation and lay down conditions or if I express several dos and don’ts, then my love for Krsna is nothing but materialistic.

It has taken me seven years to unravel the profound knowledge of what it is to be in love with Krsna and how to love like Him. Every day, my understanding of this Knowledge continues to develop. This Knowledge is like an endless Ocean and with every passing day, I go further into its depths, learning through its beauty and profundity the vastness of His Love. This Love, like a deep sea dive, can only be experienced and can never be described. There are three kinds of Love as quoted from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna. The first kind is an ordinary love in which the lover seeks his/her own happiness; he/she doesn’t care whether the other person is happy or not. In the second kind, which is a compromise, both of them seek each other’s happiness which is a noble kind of love. But the third kind is the highest of the three. The lover in the third context says to his beloved that She is happy in his happiness. ‘Be happy yourself, whatever may happen to me’. Radha had this highest love. She was happy in Krsna’s happiness. The Gopis too had attained this exalted state.

Now although there are only three kinds of love described in the Shastras, there is a fourth kind of Love. This is Krsna’s Love for his beloveds and every other being in this universe. How does Krsna Love? Why is Krsna’s Love Supreme among others? Firstly, Krsna is the Love Incarnate. He loves everyone Selflessly. He has no expectations or wants of any sort from anybody. Krsna only gives as he is ‘full of Himself’. He wants to give the best to everyone in his world. He does things for each one as per their desire and performs this action in the best possible manner, allowing you to derive a complete experience from that event or activity.

Let me explain this with an example. Radha’s only craving was Krsna and she always wanted Him only to herself. In order to fulfill this desire of Radha’s, Krsna would sit on the bank of Yamuna river and wait for hours together, every single day, until she came along. There were days when she would not come at all, yet Krsna would never miss going to the Yamuna river to meet his beloved. When Krsna left Vrindavan to go to Mathura, the entire world only saw the pain of Radha, of the Gopis and the residents of Vraja but no one ever noticed or tried to find out what is Krsna going through. Everyone thought that it is Radha who suffered the pain of separation but not once did anyone think or even care to understand Krsna’s pain. Although Krsna’s new abode was Mathura, he never failed in his duty to Radha. He would painstakingly go to Vrindavan every day to see her but she, oblivious to the extent of Krsna’s Love, never sought Him out again on the banks of the river Yamuna.

Similarly, just the way I suffer the pangs of separation for my Krsna, he suffers thousand times more than me. The only difference is that I express my pain explicitly but my Krsna will never ever express what he goes through. If you take your own life and reflect upon it, you will understand that whatever Krsna does for you is not because he enjoys doing those actions. He does it simply because he wants you to be happy. His happiness lies in giving you the highest form of enjoyment by doing whatever you wished and aspired for.

Krsna is a desireless being. He is the paragon of masculine beauty; a perfect celibate and a personification of the highest goodness in this Universe. He is the quintessence of grandeur, glory, valor, compassion, and benevolence. He is far beyond what I have just described here. He is the ultimate goal to be achieved. Krsna can never be measured as He is a limitless Ocean, the ‘Athanga Sagar’. He is unfathomable, indescribable and inscrutable. He is beyond all Ken and Understanding. He is the embodiment of Truth, Knowledge and Bliss alone. It is next to impossible for mortal beings to even cross the first kind of love. Know that Love equals to give and not to take. Krsna only gives Selflessly and Unconditionally.

Krsna, my heartfelt prayers unto you. Please bestow upon this humble maid-servant of yours the strength and courage to attain Unconditional and Pure Love for Thy Lotus Feet so that she may serve Thee Selflessly in this human life. May she remain in this Bliss with her Krsna for all eternity.

Happy Krsna Janmashtami 2016

‘Krsna’, whose nature is secretive and unknown, is not only ‘Sat-Chit-Anand’ (Truth Knowledge Bliss) but one who can never be fathomed, whose ways are inscrutable and indescribable. One who is the paragon of masculine beauty in whose charm this entire Universe is mesmerized. Krsna’s enchanting human ways bewilder even the great Sages and Saints. He loves to manifest in the human form to sport in his own creation experiencing his OwnSelf. His ultimate goal is to expound about ‘Krsna’s Way of Life’, the most esoteric knowledge of all Knowledges. The Love incarnate manifests age after age in various garbs and lives incognito, creating delusions in the minds of the mortal beings making them believe that Krsna is an ordinary human being. One who plays acts in his own ‘leelas’ to set an example for this world to follow.

You name it and he becomes that for you! He is the ‘Uttama Purusha’ or ‘The Perfect Person’ amidst all imperfect situations absolutely unaffected and unperturbed. His sole purpose is to establish Dharma and Righteousness. He performs every duty of that human form to absolute perfection and sets an example for this world to follow in his footsteps. He is that which is a limitless Ocean, whose depth and length can never be measured, who can only give selflessly and yet is full of Himself. He is a perfect Celibate, even when surrounded by his ultimate dancing beauties or damsels, retaining his Spiritual Nobility.

To the birth of the unborn, on this wonderful day, I wish you a very Happy Janamashtami. With humble reverence, I thank Thee for gracing this land with Thy Lotus Feet, making it Pure and Divine once again. Thank you for bestowing Thy Grace upon me to be born with you Eternally for this Spectacular Performance in ‘Krsna Leelas’ – Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.

Note: This video captures the magnificent performances of my KrsnaGuru’s acting in every role that he is playing. You will see how through his illusive power of Yogmaya, he makes one believe that he is so lost in this material world enjoying his life. What you need to understand is that he is unattached in all the actions that he is performing. He is setting an example to all of us in this world about how to perform our duties to our highest God given potentials, living in the here and now, relinquishing the sense of doer-ship and fruits of action. He can be either a fakir or a King.

He is an Avaduta who roams this world, drawing his devotees and disciples to Him in order to redeem them from the mire of this material existence and grant the highest Spiritual Weal of God-realization. He wears out his body for the well-being of his entire creation, taking all the pain and sufferings on Himself. Know that he does neither owns nor covets anything in this world. He is a desireless being whose only purpose is to teach the Truth about God. Know that only he can give selflessly without discrimination to those who come to his shrine.
